Mechanical Traction (Roller Bed)

Mechanical traction at Chaney Chiropractic may include therapies such as the roller massage table, which features three large rotating rollers that travel both clockwise and counterclockwise, up and down the spine to knead and relax the muscles in the neck, shoulders, and lower back. The roller table helps create motion that stretches the spinal joints and improves movement.

It does this by mobilizing the spinal column while simultaneously stretching the muscles and ligaments. The patient lies face up on the table while the rollers beneath the surface gently move up and down the spine. This treatment time varies usually between 10 – 15 minutes depending on the patient.
