Ultrasound therapy helps to reduce muscle pain and movement dysfunction in the acute phases of an injury. Sound waves deliver deep heat to the areas of the body that need treatment.
Ultrasound With and Without Stimulation
As a result of the sound waves, the patient benefits from reduced stiffness, swelling and pain. The sound waves, or ultrasound rays, penetrate within the body generating heat increasing blood flow, and relaxing muscles and connective tissues thereby reducing pain and muscle spasms.
The stimulation of these tissues in this way encourages repair and can greatly reduce the healing time of certain injuries. We do not use the stimulation part of this therapy if you are pregnant or have a pace maker.
If you have either situation we can still do this treatment without the stimulation with amazing results. This therapy fluctuates in a time frame due to the area to be worked on.
